In 2018, I became obsessed with one question:

How do we help people trust each other again and rebuild real human connection?

Civil discourse was collapsing. The technology meant to connect us was fracturing communication instead. So I launched my first startup to build communities around civil dialogue. It was an incredibly hard problem—and we were early. Too early to measure the emotional signals that shape how people actually understand each other.

But the obsession stayed.

As AI evolved—especially with GenAI—I finally saw a path forward. My background in biometrics, AI, and call-center intelligence revealed something crucial: we could now do what had never been possible before. We could measure the emotional undercurrent of communication in real time and at scale.

Trust isn't vague or mystical. It's measurable. And once you can measure trust, you can predict relationship outcomes and coach people toward stronger, more effective communication.

That insight became Nayak.ai.

We chose sales as our proving ground because miscommunication there is expensive. Across hundreds of calls, the same pattern kept surfacing: what people say is only a fraction of what they're communicating. Teams miss emotional signals, trust erodes quietly, and relationships slip away without anyone noticing.

Sales teams focus on product knowledge and process, but there's another layer that matters just as much—emotional intelligence. The human connection that turns a prospect into a partner.
